A DataScan alternative for floor plan lenders

VeroOS runs a floor plan program on one record per dealer and per unit, from the application to the payoff. If your DataScan agreement is up for renewal, start here: what to compare, and what a move involves.

The short answer

DataScan sells a suite for dealer commercial lenders. DataCision handles underwriting and Wholesale Intelligence handles servicing; RiskGauge and Onsite cover audits. VeroOS covers the same ground on one record per dealer and per unit, and Vero can run the servicing for you.

What DataScan sells today

DataScan was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. Solifi announced the acquisition on September 23, 2025. DataScan now operates as DataScan by Solifi, and it sells its products as a suite called DataScan360:

  • DataCision: dealer credit underwriting and loan origination
  • Wholesale Intelligence: loan accounting and portfolio management, with dealer self-service through its Dealer Access System
  • RiskGauge: digital inventory risk monitoring that draws on outside data, from retail sales to GPS
  • Onsite: physical floor plan audits by DataScan's in-house field auditors, formerly called Audit Intelligence
  • uVerifi: dealer self-audits from a phone, part of RiskGauge

Solifi said customers keep their existing service level commitments. It also said it plans to integrate DataScan's products with its Open Finance Platform. Solifi has since added Wholesale Intelligence and RiskGauge to its own wholesale finance pages.

Why lenders compare now

  1. 1
The owner changedProduct plans for DataScan's modules now get set inside Solifi's wider portfolio. Ask which ones stay as they are, and on what dates.
  2. 2
Renewal is the decision pointNothing has to change today. But a renewal is when you either sign for another term or start a move, so compare before the quote arrives.
  3. 3
Fewer systems per dealerIf audits sit in one tool while titles and the dealer portal sit in others, every handoff is a reconciliation. Some lenders want one record per unit instead.

What moving off DataScan involves

A conversion moves far more than the dealer list. Most of the work sits in the units underneath it, and every one of them has to tie out to the old system before cutover.

We run every implementation in five phases with a sign-off between each one. Data migration happens in the Build phase. We don't publish a standard timeline, because it depends on how much you're moving: dealers, units, integrations.

  1. 1
Start with the contractYour notice date matters more than your renewal date. Check your export rights too, plus how long you keep read-only access.
  2. 2
Inventory what movesDealers and lines, every unit, the money, audit history, titles, plus the integrations that feed them.
  3. 3
Tie out three waysPortfolio totals first. Then dealer totals. Then every unit, on the same cutoff date.
  4. 4
Tell dealers before anything changesTheir credit agreements stay with you. Logins and payment instructions change, so dealers hear the date early.

Replace one piece, or the whole system

VeroOS can be the system of record for a floor plan program, from application to payoff. It can also run one capability next to the core you keep. Title Management is the most common standalone deployment. Audits and the Dealer Portal deploy the same way.

Want VeroOS running next to DataScan for a while? We'd scope any data connection with you and DataScan first, based on what your instance can export.

Prefer not to staff servicing yourself? Vero can run the day-to-day servicing and audit work on VeroOS under Lending-as-a-Service, behind your brand. Credit decisions stay with you.

DataScan alternative questions

Is VeroOS an alternative to DataScan?

Yes, for lenders who want the floor plan program on one system. VeroOS runs the program from application to payoff on one record per dealer and per unit, with a dealer portal on the same data. It can replace a core system or run one capability next to it.

Can we keep DataScan field audits and move servicing?

That's a decision to make early. Keeping your current audit provider while servicing moves is workable, but someone has to carry audit results between the two systems until they don't. VeroOS runs digital and on-site audits in one workflow if you'd rather move both.

What happens to our DataScan contract and data?

Your agreement decides that. Check the notice date first. Then check your export rights, plus how long you keep read-only access after termination. We can tell you what a conversion needs from the contract. We can't tell you what yours says.

How long does a move off DataScan take?

It depends on the number of dealers and units. History matters too, as does the count of integrations that need a new source. Vero runs implementations in five phases with a sign-off between each one and doesn't publish a standard timeline.

Does Vero lend the money?

No. Vero is a software and services company. Credit and underwriting decisions belong to the lender. Vero's software supports those decisions and doesn't make them.
